Return and Refund Policy

At ReD Market On, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase. This policy outlines our procedures for returns and refunds, aligning with the South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) for orders delivered within South Africa, and outlining general principles for international orders.
1. Your Right to Cancel (ECTA 7-Day Cooling-Off Period - Applies to South African Orders)
In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you, as a consumer, have the right to cancel any online transaction concluded on ReD Market On for orders delivered within South Africa for any reason without penalty, provided you do so within 7 days of receiving your goods.
Conditions for ECTA Cooling-Off Returns (South African Orders):
- The goods must be returned to us (or the seller, as advised) within 7 days of the date you cancelled the transaction.
- The goods must be in their original condition and packaging, meaning they should not be materially different from when they were received.
- You may open the packaging to inspect the goods, as you would in a physical store, but the goods must not have been used in a way that depreciates their value significantly.
- You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
2. Returns for Defective or Incorrect Items
The Consumer Protection Act (CPA) provides consumers with rights regarding goods that are defective, unfit for purpose, or incorrect for orders delivered within South Africa.
Implied Warranty
All goods come with an implied warranty of quality as per the CPA.
Reporting Defects
Contact us within 7 days of delivery for initial assessment.

We offer repair, replacement, or refund options.
Return Shipping
We cover costs for defective/incorrect items.
3. International Returns & Refunds
For orders shipped to countries outside South Africa:
- The ECTA 7-Day Cooling-Off Period and CPA provisions do not directly apply.
- Returns for non-defective items may be accepted within 14 days of delivery.
- Customer responsible for return shipping costs, duties, and taxes.
